What happens when you call
1. Marjorie asks what’s going on, where the water is, and when you’re home.
2. You get a two-hour arrival window — and a call-ahead when the truck leaves the job before yours.
3. The plumber diagnoses, writes the flat-rate price on paper, and only then starts work.
It’s 9 p.m. and there’s water everywhere.
Shut the main valve if you can — it’s usually near the meter — then call. The on-call Hartwell will talk you through it on the way over.
